Le Maritima sur Martigues

18/08/2026: Excellent restaurant serving Provençal cuisine with a lovely view of the Miroir aux Oiseaux (Bird Mirror).

16/08/2026: Mixed reviews. The food is fresh, but some dishes, like the octopus, lack flavor. The fish soup is very good. The bouillabaisse, however, was disappointing: €65 for three pieces of fish, potato, and fennel. Although it tasted good, the fish had bones and wasn't pleasant to eat. It wasn't worth the price. At that price, I expected better—boneless fish and more fish on the plate. Some places add prawns, which are cheaper. However, the taste was good. We had to ask for bread because they forgot to include it, and we only got four pieces with no extra. Furthermore, we were waiting for a ladle, which we also had to ask for after a while. The waiters seemed overwhelmed, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. However, they were helpful and polite. The setting with the boats is pleasant, but too hot to enjoy. Misters would be a welcome addition. In short, it's a bit expensive but the products are fresh, worth trying again to perhaps change my mind, but only when improvements have been made.
