A wonderful discovery! It had been a long time since I'd been back to Angoulême. A great place that's not in the city center, but still easily accessible. In short, excellent meat, a great atmosphere, homemade fries... I was completely full by the end of my meal, and the price was reasonable! I had the 450-gram Charolais ribeye steak! You can go there without hesitation!

We arrived at 12 pm and were still admitted. I want to thank the manager and his team for the excellent service. They were fantastic! They were all smiles from beginning to end, despite a busy evening. The meal was excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection! The homemade fries were delicious. The desserts were also very good. I highly recommend going there if you're looking for a good restaurant in Angoulême. Thank you again.

While passing through Angoulême, we had lunch at the restaurant "Le Marquant City." The atmosphere was warm and the service very professional, with staff attentive to customers. Everything was perfect. I particularly recommend the beef carpaccio with its camembert cooked in embers—a truly wonderful and indulgent combination. The carpaccio is carved in front of the customer by the chef. A must-try!

We had lunch at this restaurant for the first time. The warmth of the wood fire was wonderful in December. The atmosphere and the staff were welcoming. As for the food, it was generous and delicious. We highly recommend this little restaurant. Thank you to the team! See you soon!

A pleasant surprise! This restaurant lived up to our expectations. The welcome was simple and friendly, no fuss. The service and the dishes were excellent and generous. Not to mention the superb homemade desserts! At Marquant City, everything is delicious.

04/02/2026: It's become so rare to find a restaurant offering fresh, cooked ingredients that make up such delicious dishes. It's practically impossible, even beyond this region, and all this within the current lunchtime price range. It's so common to find frozen food that it's unbelievable. Starter + Main Course + Dessert, everything is fresh and delicious. Even the coffee is incredibly good. Flavorful, smooth dishes, prepared with love, that make your taste buds dance. Finally, a restaurant where the customer is respected, knowing they'll definitely come back. And all this with excellent service and a smile 😃 A big thank you 🤩 Highly recommended for all lovers of good, balanced, and smooth traditional French cuisine. Without a doubt, this restaurant is the best in the area, to be enjoyed without moderation.

28/02/2026: First visit with our friend who lives near Angoulême, and frankly, we weren't disappointed! Super fresh, seasonal produce, very generous portions, and especially the discovery of things like cognac cocktails, etc. ... We'll definitely be back, and it's excellent value for money.
