For my wife's birthday we chose to dine at this beach restaurant and it was a good choice. The welcome went very well, we sat at a table on the sand practically with our feet in the water. The slate is presented to us, it offers a sufficient and attractive choice, we just notice that the prices are a bit steep... After being served without waiting, we tasted our dishes which were well presented and I must admit that we enjoyed ourselves!!!

It was recommended to us for our vacation. Excellent meal! Very welcoming waiters upon our arrival with very good service throughout the dinner. And the sunset during the meal is truly magnificent.

Discovery of a romantic little corner of paradise to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! What a pleasure to dine with your feet in the sand with the sunset as a backdrop... I loved it! The dishes are very good and the plates are nicely decorated. There is no menu so obviously a la carte is a little expensive but this divine place allows you to accept the bill without any problem.

Beautiful place, excellent food and the value for money is present, costs 40€ per person, only the welcome needs to be reviewed but the waiters are pleasant and friendly

Tout est parfait. Le cadre, l’accès, l’équipe et surtout les plats. La cadre est courte mais c’est signe de qualité. Nous avons pris le vin rouge d’un petit domaine à côté de Lumio, un délice. Nous avons passés un très bon moment en amoureux.

Dîner sur la plage, à gauche les montagnes, à droite le coucher de soleil sur la mer dans la baie de Calvi. Choix de plats et vins très bien, plats succulents de l'entrée au dessert. Serveur au top, très agréable et qui s'intéresse à ses clients.

15/09/2024: Conosco il ristorante Santa Maria da diverso tempo e si conferma un’eccellenza di Calvi. Situato sotto la cittadella, si caratterizza per un’atmosfera accogliente e piacevole. Favoloso il polpo alla mediterranea piatto forte del menù del locale. Eccellenti anche gli spaghetti alle vongole. Ottimi i desserts. Consigliato.
29/08/2024: We booked ahead to get a dinner table on our first full day back in Corsica once more so keen were we to go. Expectations were largely but mot wholly met. On their Menu Corse they used to have fish soup with all the croutes, rouille, grated cheese etc etc but not now...on offer is Corsican soup ( bit like minestrone ...) which though nice was just not the same.! It is for this that I dropped a blob... Otherwise the food is very good and the ambience is great in this prime spot. Wonderful to see our waiter from 10 years back still there...his name is Brett ( not very French? ) Anyway he is from Aix-en-Provence and has apparently worked at the Santa Maria for 40 years! Incredible and all power to him..a great guy and super to find him still there. Prices are perfectly reasonable and plenty of locals go...so all good. TT recommended then ( I am pretty sure) and I absolutely reiterate this advice. Good Corsican wines!!
