Le Matefaim sur Ceillac

The mission was more than accomplished; our hunger was more than satisfied by this excellent restaurant! The final stop on this long-distance hike, a beautifully designed and decorated place, a warm and lovely team, and a cascade of Queyras fondue with Bleu du Queyras cheese to help us recover from our exertions. Not forgetting the famous sweet "matefaim" for dessert! Absolutely fantastic!

During our Via Alpina hike, we were lucky enough to find Matefaim open to satisfy our ravenous hunger. We ate very well; the lasagna, the mini Matefaim burger, and the queraflette were superb! We left completely full! 😁

Finally, a truly authentic inn where, even on Sundays at lunchtime, you can enjoy a delicious set menu of local specialties: charcuterie and potato pancakes (râpées) with salad, dessert or cheese, excellent value for money, and very attentive staff in a charming rural setting. We'll be back. Come too!

Excellent restaurant with owners who are passionate and love their country.

We had a wonderful family meal at this restaurant in Ceillac. The welcome was very warm, the service attentive and quick, even with children. The dishes were delicious, generous, and made with excellent mountain ingredients. A friendly place where you feel right at home, and where we will gladly return. Thank you for a lovely time!

A wonderful experience at this restaurant! The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which immediately puts you at ease. The raclette was simply excellent, generous, and delicious. The decor is beautiful, warm, and tasteful; you really feel comfortable there. A place you'll definitely want to return to. I highly recommend it!

What a fantastic evening we had the pleasure of spending in this little haven of tranquility. We hadn't even stepped inside before the waitress's smiles warmed us up on a chilly night. The decor is simply wonderful, the service impeccable, and the portions generous—a real treat because everything was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it; don't hesitate, GO FOR IT!!!
