We eat at Asian restaurants in many places around the world. Mekong in Villefranche sur mer is the best. Fantastic chef and great ingredients.

We have only been here once, so the review describes our experience from that visit. We stumbled upon this restaurant in the old town. Unfortunately we missed the last table outside, but the staff arranged a table for us inside. We ordered some Nem for starters and they tasted just like they did when we ate them there in Vietnam. For mains we ordered two different noodle dishes, one vegetarian and one with shrimp. When we ordered, the staff checked how spicy we wanted the food, which was a plus. The noodle dishes were also very tasty and very well cooked. The vegetables were cooked but still had some spring and the noodles had the right amount of spring. The only thing we missed on the menu was Vietnamese egg coffee, but we could get Vietnamese iced coffee instead. Overall, very good food, very good service and good value. If you like Vietnamese food, I would highly recommend this place. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. We will come back here if we come back to Villefranche-sur-mer.

Very nice place, very friendly waitresses. Wide variety of dishes, what we ate was good. Prices are a little high but in line with other restaurants. Decent portions.

We ordered beef samosas, Bo-Boun, and beef fried noodles. All dishes were excellent and well-filled. The prices are affordable for the quality and quantity provided. Far from the tourist traps. A great discovery.

So good we came back two nights in a row. Best food we had in Villefranche, food comes really quick. All of the spring rolls are really good. It does get busy quick so get there as they open or book.

Authentic vietnamese restaurant , order the following - Spring roll pork deep-fry $1.50 x 4 = $6 - Grilled chicken teriaki skewers $15 - stir fried duck with spices $17.50 - Beef pho (nice, yummy soup base with fresh beef, noodle taste good)
