Le Mekong sur Villefranche-Sur-Mer

A wonderful discovery at Le Mékong in Villefranche. A charming little restaurant, I recommend booking ahead as the dining room is quite small. This actually makes the service smoother and more pleasant. The dishes are generous and full of flavor; they truly transport you. A very good place to eat.

For years, always so friendly, exceptional cuisine, honestly nothing to complain about, I highly recommend it.

A lovely place for dinner Soulful Vietnamese flavours

A lovely Vietnamese restaurant set off along one of the quaint alleyways in Villefranche. Amazing food and service was very quick too. Everything we ordered was lovely. It was getting quite busy as we got there at 7pm , so might be a good idea to book and go. Only thing was the owner, a lady, seemed a bit grumpy, but the rest of the staff were lovely.

We eat at Asian restaurants in many places around the world. Mekong in Villefranche sur mer is the best. Fantastic chef and great ingredients.

We have only been here once, so the review describes our experience from that visit. We stumbled upon this restaurant in the old town. Unfortunately we missed the last table outside, but the staff arranged a table for us inside. We ordered some Nem for starters and they tasted just like they did when we ate them there in Vietnam. For mains we ordered two different noodle dishes, one vegetarian and one with shrimp. When we ordered, the staff checked how spicy we wanted the food, which was a plus. The noodle dishes were also very tasty and very well cooked. The vegetables were cooked but still had some spring and the noodles had the right amount of spring. The only thing we missed on the menu was Vietnamese egg coffee, but we could get Vietnamese iced coffee instead. Overall, very good food, very good service and good value. If you like Vietnamese food, I would highly recommend this place. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. We will come back here if we come back to Villefranche-sur-mer.
