We visited this restaurant and really enjoyed it. The portions were very generous and the service was excellent! They were about to close and let us stay a while longer while we enjoyed our dessert at our leisure.

In the heart of the Cité, the only restaurant open in the evening! A warm welcome and delicious royal cassoulet with duck confit! Off-season sales, so you can enjoy the Cité de Carcassonne almost to yourself! Highly recommended

Surprised by some of the comments, which I find very negative. We had a good time and the meal was enjoyable. Everyone was satisfied. Especially since we arrived at the end of service at 9 a.m., and the welcome could have been much colder. Which wasn't the case at all. Just goes to show that everyone's experience is different 😉

We decided to spend our wedding anniversary in Carcassonne. After admiring the views of the old fortress, we went for lunch. The Caesar salad, cassoulet, and grilled Toulouse sausages with fries were excellent, and three glasses of wine and a piña colada nicely rounded off our meal. We were very pleased with the warm atmosphere. Thank you.

They serve a huge number of diners at once. Good quality. Impeccable organization. Fast service. They are used to serving tourist groups (coaches). They serve the typical stew from the south of France, LE CASSOLETTE. It's delicious and very hearty, perfect for when it's very cold.

We came on January 2nd. The restaurant was full, but they found us a table for eight in front of the open kitchen. We loved the concept, watching the staff working so hard, and the atmosphere. The kitchen and service staff were fully committed, but also smiling and friendly. We ate very well and without any wait—frankly, well done! We'll be back!

11/11/2025: The bread is very good, the pastries are delicious, and the cakes are excellent. We love the Paris-Brest, which is a delight for the taste buds, and there's also a wide selection of cakes. Our favorite bakery/pastry shop in Carcassonne.

21/12/2025: A rather pleasant place with a friendly welcome. The daily special was good and plentiful. The all-inclusive price, including glasses of wine, was very reasonable. I recommend it.
