Very happy to have made a detour to discover the town of Villeréal and its place at the market halls with this brewery “le Moderne” which, it seems, has its own farm which produces its own beef. The welcome is warm, the dishes are tasty and very well presented. The staff is very efficient. Very good table.

Stumbling upon it by chance, this address which makes you want to stay for hours, offers simple, local cuisine, perfectly executed at unbeatable prices. The service is exemplary.

Excellent quality price, very well received, very good, all homemade. We arrived around 12:30 p.m. without a reservation with a lot of people on the terrace, the waiter took the time to seat us and serve us. Restaurant very well located in front of the market halls. Also in parentheses I recommend the rice pudding with its salted butter caramel. On our next visit to Villereal we will definitely come back to eat in this restaurant.

Very good restaurant, affordable menu, pleasant service, local atmosphere with a view overlooking the Place des Halles. I particularly recommend the Gascon Burger accompanied by Roquefort sauce, a pure delight. Go there without hesitation Le Moderne is a sure bet, we always have a good time there!

Deze week twee keer geweest. Eerlijk eten wat je van een bistro verwacht. Heerlijk vlees, entrecote met aardappeltjes en sla. Ook de gamba’s met rijst waren zeer lekker

10/09/2024: Very good pastry which caught our eye as we passed by. The window is very tempting We tasted several cakes at reasonable prices for handmade cakes. We had a fruit tea 🍇 with real dried fruit The interior is cozy and refined Negative point that we notice in some tourist villages is the price of ice cream A banana split costs 12.50 euros and it can go up to 14 euros for a Liège chocolate!!! I find the price of ice cream to be excessive!!!!!!😡 In short, the delicious pastries our taste buds were delighted Price from 3.50 euros per piece to 5 euros

30/08/2024: I had fun! Lots of positive reviews, two negative reviews, so we came with some apprehension. With the aperitif, a free verrine, more than enough quantity for two. A steak tartare like I've never had before, delicious! 😋 Monsieur has chosen his piece of meat, perfectly cooked 👌 we will come back! On the other hand, if Google asked me my opinion on The chestnut trees, it's no longer called that!
27/08/2024: Very beautiful shaded terrace, very welcoming staff and a trout fillet to die for. In short, a real good address away from the sometimes too touristy route.
