We had a wonderful time under the plane trees by the Lot river, enjoying delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere. A real holiday! ☺️

I came to dinner with my sister and we had a very good meal. The dishes were tasty, the price was very reasonable, and we had a pleasant time… until the end of the meal. We experienced a rather bizarre situation: a man literally threw himself onto our table, completely knocking it over, along with our glasses and the water carafe. We had to jump up to avoid getting hurt. What disappointed us most was the restaurant's reaction. No one came to apologize, no one asked if we were alright… We hadn't even ordered dessert yet, but faced with this complete lack of attention, we decided to leave. The most surprising thing is that the man in question left as if nothing had happened, without any consequences, while we left shaken and unable to finish our meal. It's a real shame, because the quality of the food deserved a better service experience.

Great ambience for eating by the river lot under shady trees

Unfortunately, we were disappointed by our experience at the Place du Faubourg restaurant/pizzeria, despite its lovely setting overlooking the Lot River and the very friendly staff. The biggest problem was the interminable wait (over an hour between our arrival and the first courses being served), as well as the unavailability of many ingredients on the menu, forcing us to change our choices. There were also mistakes with our orders when they finally arrived. Even though we were told the chef was new and the owner offered a small gesture of goodwill for the wait and the errors, and despite the friendly service, our overall impression remains rather mixed, and we probably won't be returning. (And regarding the pizzas: the crust was a bit thin, and the toppings were excessive. Don't eat into your profit margin by overloading them!)

Pizza with amazing toppings and perfect cooking, great background music, and incredibly responsive service. Thank you for this wonderful experience, and I'm almost sad to have to leave, given the quality and enjoyment you provide. Thank you! If you haven't been, go for it!!!

Excellent wood-fired pizzas. Quick, efficient, and friendly service. Tables set up by the water under the plane trees. A very pleasant little break, one we'll definitely be back for!
