Reservation made, after seating, there were four of us. A very warm and friendly welcome, mussels for everyone, according to individual tastes: creamy mussels were excellent, bacon and mushroom mussels were superb, fries were very good, and the desserts were delicious. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend it; there's entertainment twice a week. M.F.G

After crossing the Passage du Gois, we discovered this establishment by chance, having stopped at Comptoir de la Mer a little before noon.
Excellent lunch! 😋 How lucky we were to arrive early and snag a prime spot on the terrace without a reservation!
We thoroughly enjoyed the mussels à l'Epoyenne, the specialty of this restaurant in the town of Epoids. 😉
Cooked on pine needles over a wood fire 🔥
Absolutely delicious.
While enjoying it with a good white wine from the Vendée region 🍷
The welcome was perfect and friendly.
I highly recommend this establishment. Remember to book ahead as it's often full ☎️.

A wonderful discovery in Port du Bec! We had a fantastic time at **Mord’eau**, in a truly charming and authentic setting.
Of course, we tried the local specialty: **mussels à l’Epoyenne**. A real treat! The mussels are cooked on pine needles, giving them an absolutely delicious smoky and subtly woody flavor. An original way to enjoy mussels, and above all, a specialty we wholeheartedly recommend. 😋
The welcome was warm, the atmosphere convivial, and the food truly won us over.
A must-try if you're ever in Port du Bec. We'll definitely be back! 👍

I've been here before out of season and it was great, no complaints, but I came in mid-August and was disappointed. The waiters are overworked and don't have time to be friendly. And the mussels were cold. Disappointing. I'll come back, but out of season. Then I'll find a good restaurant.
