Le Moulin sur Albi

This restaurant was very good, the servers were all friendly, the wine was good, and the icing on the cake was that they accept dogs with a smile.

Beautiful and intimate location in a characteristic Albigensian setting. Majid and his crew combine craftsmanship with excellent service and hospitality. The pavé de boeuf façon Rossini was sublime. Definitely worth the detour.

The waitress dropped the menu on my dog's back and the guy who seats people in the restaurant said "it's okay, she's fat"

Very good homemade food, everything is made by the chef, except the ice cream.

Yesterday we were visiting Albi and I was looking for something with gluten-free options, so we went in here. The waitress kindly understood that I had celiac disease (rare in France) and we ordered the €24.90 set menu. My first course was melon with ham, and my second course was salmon au gratin with Parmesan. For dessert, I ordered lemon and blueberry sorbet. So far, so good. When they brought me the ice cream, it was topped with something that looked like a cookie. I spoke to her in French, asking what it was. She answered, but I didn't understand the word (and I speak French; I lived in France for several years). She just grabbed it and took it off the ice cream and said something like, "There, now you can eat it," and walked away. I was in shock. How dare she put her hand in my plate and take away that "cookie"? I should have filed a complaint and told her to bring me another dessert. From then on, she didn't come near the table again; she asked her colleague to go. I didn't know how to react and didn't complain, but I had such a blank expression that even the people at the next table noticed what she did. The girl is a brunette with a tan complexion and her hair pulled back. And I have to say she was very kind, but that's just not right. So, I'm warning all you celiacs to be careful.

A quick recap of my lunch at the Esprit du Moulin restaurant in Albi (81). The welcome and service were on par with the setting. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. The value for money was excellent. I opted for the €24.90 set menu (starter, main course, and dessert). As you can see, this restaurant is a must-try if you're visiting the beautiful city of Albi.

We had a delightful evening. The local cuisine was excellent, and the Gaillac wines were well-chosen. The value for money was amazing. To top it all off, the service was very efficient and attentive. Absolutely flawless.

Neither good nor bad, a professional and friendly welcome, and cuisine that aspires to more. The lamb chops were more like mutton. The cod fillet was decent. I think the clientele is mostly tourists, and in any case, we don't feel like seeing them again.

An excellent address in Old Albi. Friendly welcome and delicious traditional cuisine.
