Le moulin d'apigné sur Rennes

The setting and the stream made us want to stop for a drink. The menu made us want to eat there. The dish made us want to come back. Perfect meat, excellent fries.

Excellent beef, flavorful, rare just the way we like it, and a generous portion. We left with some. The grofitrolle was excellent and enormous...

The setting is lovely, but the rest isn't really my cup of tea. Too bad... There's an extra charge (€) on the menus...

I came to this restaurant for business (Passtime) and ended up staying for dinner. A wonderful discovery, with beautiful, high-quality dishes. A magnificent, shaded setting on the banks of the Vilaine River. Free parking nearby. Delighted to have a partnership with this establishment.

A quick decision to visit here, having asked if it was dog friendly. We were invited to sit down at a table, where a leaking roof had left water in a glass & the serviette was wet too. Having had them replaced… we proceeded to order food and wine. I had combed through the wine list & then to be told that they didn't have numourous wines on offer, really leaving the more expensive ones! I chose the entercot with chips. I did ask for it well done as is my want! When it arrived, I found it well cooked and very fatty throughout.. more akin to a ribeye, but there was a curious taste to it. I can only assume that it had been cooked on a grill that needed a good clean! The chips too were pretty disgusting, guessing cooked in dirty oil. Needless to say we didn't ask for any more food, judging there wasn't sufficiebg customers present to ensure a turn around of puddings. All in all pretty poor, except that thrvesiter was fairkt attentive, so much so he asked us nit to leave with out half empty water bottle! Guess there is a deposit on bottles? We just didn't leave a tip!

Go without hesitation. Excellent welcome, excellent food. The waiter knows his wines perfectly! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the warm welcome.
