Le Mugel sur La Ciotat

No complaints whatsoever... Everything is excellent, especially the cod fritters 👍 Very reasonable value for money. The setting is wonderful!

For over 30 years, this has been a place of conviviality, which the system wants to take away from us. For all the new residents of La Ciotat, or those just passing through, if you didn't come just for the scenery, you owe it to yourself to make the detour! This isn't a tourist trap! You'll have the chance to taste Provençal dishes, home-cooked meals (which are increasingly rare), and perhaps you'll realize that if they take it away, they'll take away a part of our very essence. A very beautiful place, cute beach hut and small beach. Very pleasant.

As always, an authentic spot for a short but sweet swim break and a delicious meal with lovely hosts. We love being here! 😍

As a regular at this restaurant, which has delighted us for decades, I cannot accept that this place is threatened with demolition. I have already signed the citizens' petition against this project and I am sending a letter today to the La Ciotat town hall. Let's all mobilize to keep this welcoming place, developed by Eric, and preserve the jobs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Alain.

Today at lunchtime, a child of about five years old was playing on the beach right in front of the restaurant and badly injured a toenail. He was crying so loudly in pain that the whole restaurant could hear him. I went into the restaurant to ask for a towel so the child's parents could try to bandage the wound as best they could. I stood at the entrance for a few minutes, trying to get the attention of the waiters. But they (a woman and a man) walked right past me without paying me any attention. Finally, I went to speak to the manager. I told her everything about the child. She gave me two rather thin towels. I asked if I could have a thicker paper towel, like the ones you have on the tables. The answer was: "No, those aren't for the restaurant." Later, another person approached them and asked for a medical bandage for the child. They didn't have a bandage, but they gave him a pain relief spray.

We went back for the second time. We thoroughly enjoyed it again. Generous portions, excellent value for money. Some of the restaurants on the seafront should take note. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A real gem! 🌟 The restaurant boasts an exceptional view of the Calanques of Mugel, a magnificent setting that makes the experience even more enjoyable. And what's truly remarkable is that despite this incredible location, the restaurant doesn't take advantage of the situation to charge exorbitant prices. On the contrary, the value for money is very reasonable, and the food is simply excellent! Special mention goes to the mussels in cream sauce, absolutely delicious and incredibly rich. It had been years since I'd eaten mussels in cream sauce that were so good, so generous, and so perfectly executed. Flavorful, expertly prepared, and utterly delicious! Thank you for this wonderful experience, both for the quality of the food and the exceptional setting. I highly recommend it! 👏🍽️
