Le Paradis du Fruit sur Paris

A hidden gem. We stumbled upon Le Paradise des Amis a couple blocks from our Air B&B our last night in Paris. What a find! This small little restaurant run by Patrick and his lovely wife was fantastic! There were just a few tables so you didn’t feel crowded or rushed to vacate your table. Patrick took the time to explain everything on the menu and went so far as telling us where the ingredients were sourced. The beetroot salad with mozzarella and basil was a perfect start to the meal as were the scallops with mushrooms in a wine? reduction. We all had the lamb shanks that had cooked all day to perfection. I can’t describe how tender and flavorful they were, and big too. They were accompanied with scalloped potatoes with onions and cream. They were rich we asked what cheese they used - no cheese only heavy cream, onions and potatoes. What can we do to duplicate that dish??? The wine list was not extensive but Patrick was there to recommend a very good Haut-Medoc to pair with the lamb. A wonderful evening in our new favorite restaurant. Wish we’re staying in Paris a few more days.

Patrick is a great host and clearly passionate about his food and restaurant. His wife is the chef so he intimately knows the dishes and his recommendations have a lot of heart. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and - this being my wife's first time back in Paris in over a decade, the company speaking French

It was our last day in Paris, and we are so glad that we stopped for a dinner here, the food was delicious, the service was great. We really enjoyed it. Thank you for the owners for giving us good taste of Paris. Definitely would come again on our next visit.

The owners are really nice and passionate about their work. The owner explains about every dish in the menu, and gives you the impression that you are very welcome. The food is absolutely wonderful. We liked every dish we tried.

This is an excellent small restaurant. Delicious food at reasonable cost. Very nice patron who explains the menu in detail (and in English if required). Highly recommended.
