Le Pastis sur Cannes

A romantic Valentine's Day dinner at this restaurant, which lived up to its reputation. The service was superb, the ribeye steak incredible – a magical moment. Thank you to the whole team!

We usually like coming here, but unfortunately, it doesn't smell good inside. It's very unpleasant.

We stopped in Cannes as part of a road trip and were looking for an early dinner before a long drive ahead. To our surprise, most restaurants in the city center didn’t start serving dinner until 7:00 pm, and none of the places we checked had the classic moules-frites we were craving. We eventually came across Le Pastis Cannes, which opened a little earlier at 6:30 pm — perfect timing for us — and, crucially, had the mussels we’d been hunting for. The 4.1 Google rating gave us slight hesitation, but hunger (and mussels) won out. We’re very glad it did. The food was excellent. We started with the French onion soup — genuinely the best I’ve ever had — and an artichoke that was enormous (almost the size of a small pineapple) and perfectly cooked. For mains, we ordered the mussels, which fully lived up to expectations, and a fillet that was cooked just right and finished with a delicious wine-based sauce. Service was kind, attentive, and reasonably quick. Nothing overly theatrical — fairly standard order, serve, and check-in — and aside from the manager, perhaps not as detailed as you might expect at this price point, but still professional and pleasant. The only real downside is the pricing. It’s slightly higher than other menus we saw while searching around Cannes. That said, the quality of the food absolutely delivers. Overall, a very solid experience and one we’d happily repeat. Definitely recommended, especially if you’re after great food and an earlier dinner option in Cannes.

The cuisine is perfectly mastered—you can feel the chef's passion and talent in every dish, hats off! 👨‍🍳 The glass of Pastis is large, well-filled, and generously served, just the way we like it in the South! 🍸 The head waiter is cheerful, very friendly, and attentive to everything, which creates a warm and friendly atmosphere.
