Le Patio d Hauteville sur Penne-D'Agenais

I had already visited this establishment last year and had very fond memories of it: a magnificent setting, a lovely terrace with a view, tasteful decor, and friendly staff. I also really enjoyed the food, with just one small reservation about the dessert. I happily returned last night, but unfortunately, the experience was a bit more mixed this time. The setting is still as pleasant, and the terrace remains a real highlight, but I was more disappointed with the food. The salmon tartare was rather underwhelming, with a portion that seemed small and the flavors quite ordinary. On the other hand, the main course was a very pleasant surprise: the duck pastilla was excellent, truly delicious. However, I was very disappointed with the passion fruit entremets for dessert. The passion fruit flavor was certainly present, but the overall presentation lacked contrast and, above all, crispness. The texture was rather soft, and the dessert struck me as rather bland despite the passion fruit aroma. Finally, I also had a slight disappointment with the attitude of one of the waiters, whom I found less pleasant than during my first visit. In the end, the place remains magnificent and is definitely worth a visit for its setting and view, but the culinary experience was more disappointing this time. It's a shame, because I had such fond memories of my first visit.

So I came to eat with my family, there were five of us. The welcome was fantastic, everyone was smiling, which was lovely. We were quickly in a great atmosphere during the aperitif. Kudos to the staff! As for the meal, nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. The fish was cooked to perfection, my father had the ribeye steak cooked to perfection, and the homemade desserts were delicious. I highly recommend this place, we'll be back very soon. Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful lunch, a great experience, a 10/10! Bravo!

We had a wonderful gastronomic experience at Le Patio d'Hauteville. The setting is delightful, starting with the terrace overlooking the greenery, and the service was efficient. For starters, we ordered the salmon tartare and the foie gras. The tartare was well-prepared, and the foie gras was generously portioned, flavorful, and served at the perfect temperature. Another delightful discovery was the chicken and razor clam with seaweed butter, served as a ballotine, resulting in incredibly tender meat with varying textures depending on the cut, cooked to perfection. The cuisine was precise and refined, complemented by a fine wine list featuring carefully selected local wines.

Excellent value for money for lunch with a beautiful view. Friendly welcome and service. Finish with a visit to Penne d'Agenais.

Ideal setting, good food, two very friendly young women serving. My only slight complaint is that, having booked through TheFork and specifying it was a wedding anniversary, this wasn't mentioned at all during our meal, which was a shame. A small gesture in this regard would have been appreciated. But overall, a good meal.
