Gives off a very 1970’s zen type of vibe with it’s dark orange/black decor and furnishings. Very clean and quiet. Incredible view of the walls. The room faced a small garden. A stones throw walking distance to the Cité Médiévale gate.

We had booked a room at the Hôtel l'Octroi, very close to the ramparts (a 2-minute walk). It was being renovated when we arrived, and we were relocated to the Hôtel Charmes et Design, even closer (just 1 minute from the ramparts), and we also benefited from the advantages of the Hôtel Montmorency, which belongs to the same group. Free spa, parking (for a fee), and a very complete breakfast served at the table (eggs, a liter of juice, pastries, etc.) – a real treat! And all this with a magnificent view of the ramparts. All the services of a 4-star hotel at the price of a 3-star. A very warm welcome, a family-run hotel with their dog, Pollux. A wonderful setting and a wonderful stay.

An hotel perfectly well located to visit the old town, the rooms were simple but at of good price/quality.
What really stood out besides the perfect location, was the excellent service and family feel of the house, in particular from Camille and Waly who went above and beyond expectations to make us feel right at home!

We stayed for Christmas vacation. The service was good. The rooms are brightly colored—red, green, and yellow. The bar is open all night and has views of the city walls. The only downside is that it's a 3-star hotel, but the website lists it as 4 stars. The breakfast was also very good. Thank you.

A warm welcome, a room with a view of the Cité, a dreamlike setting, ambient music, and a superb garden lounge. Breakfast featured high-quality, locally sourced products. With an excellent location and very friendly hotel staff, I'd say it's one of the best hotels in Carcassonne. It has its own parking (for a fee), a swimming pool, jacuzzi, green areas, a spa, and a breakfast that, while not a buffet, offers two varieties of cheese, ham, butter, hard-boiled eggs, bread, jams, pastries, coffee, milk, and hot chocolate (not to be missed). The service from the waiters is also excellent. The rooms are clean and adequate.

Excellent stay at the Hotel Montmorency!
We rented the Big Suite as there were six of us.
First of all, the staff is very professional and friendly.
The location is ideal, with on-site parking and a magnificent view of the Cité de Carcassonne.
The spa is admittedly small, but more than enough for an hour of pure relaxation.
The breakfast is plentiful and very good.
The accommodation was spotless, the bedding very comfortable, with two bathrooms and a total of three toilets, which is very convenient for a group.
The only slight drawback: the lack of a sink, cutlery, and microwave if you want to eat in the Big Suite.
Apart from this detail, everything was perfect. We highly recommend it!
