Le Penjab sur Lyon

This is by far the best restaurant in Lyon that we know. From the delicious food and the exceptionally pleasant service to the incredibly welcoming, kind, and friendly owner! I recommend it to everyone I know! We go back every chance we get! You can go there without hesitation!

This isn't our first time at Punjab, and the reason we kept going back is that the food is excellent! However, we were disappointed this time: during our previous dinner, I was unable to enjoy the salmon (fish tikka masala) that I was so looking forward to. The same thing happened this time... Apparently, there was a supply issue. It's a shame the restaurant still has it on the menu, giving customers the impression they can order it. My friend who was with me also didn't get the dish he wanted, for the same reason. We had to settle for other dishes, which were excellent, certainly, but not what we had come specifically for. The same goes for dessert: we couldn't try the "Dome of Punjab" on a previous dinner, and it was still unavailable tonight. Yet, it's still on the menu. We enjoyed the dinner and the service, but left frustrated at having been deprived, for the second time, of the fish and dessert that had drawn us in. If you call to reserve a table, ask about the availability of a dish (especially fish) that appeals to you.

I highly recommend eating here! We were served by a very friendly gentleman, the atmosphere is super pleasant, and the food is amazing! We also really liked the place, with its lovely lighting and decor. We felt very comfortable. If you're ever in Lyon, you should definitely go!

Impeccable service. We had the €34 set menu, which was very generous and delicious. We had to take our dessert to go because we were too full. The restaurant is in the heart of Lyon and very clean. The waiter was lovely; we will definitely be back.

Excellent food. Soft fluffy naans, hearty daal, yummy tandoori chicken and biryani! Uncle ji was super nice and kind.
