13/04/2026: On our first visit to Lyon, we discovered this restaurant during a tour of Vieux Lyon. What a lucky find! We were immediately impressed by the menu, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and the food was simply fantastic. As a special surprise, the waiter even brought us a delicious vegetarian eggplant appetizer on the house. We will definitely be back!

Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, and it’s clear that the chefs take real pride in what they serve. If you’re an Indian living in Lyon or simply someone craving genuine Indian cuisine, this place is a must-try. It’s rare to find a restaurant that captures the true essence of Indian cooking so well, and Raj Mahal definitely hits the spot. The service is another big plus.Their hospitality adds so much to the overall experience. Overall, this is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited. Highly recommend giving it a try!

16/04/2026: A nice little restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, it reveals all its old-fashioned charm. The menu is full of local specialties, the food is delicious and the portions are generous (you have to be hungry). The staff is very pleasant and helpful; the only downside is the slightly cramped seating. I recommend it.

12/04/2026: This Bouchon was so enjoyable I returned a second time during my short stay in Lyon because I knew it would be another great experience, and it was. They have many gluten free items - labeled with an orange star - which of course helps. It was the overall experience, and delicious food, that brought me back though, and will again, if I am lucky enough to visit Lyon another time.
