Le Petit Bateau sur Beaugency

We went there for my birthday on February 18, 2026. And we had a wonderful meal. It was DELICIOUS! I've been to many fine dining restaurants, but none have impressed me as much as this one. We had the €50 set menu with a starter, main course, and dessert. We were pleasantly surprised to also receive two delicious amuse-bouches ❤️ We'll definitely be back! And the price is quite reasonable considering the quality of the food! We also ordered a bottle of water, a bottle of wine, and a cheese platter, so the bill came to €170 for two. For a restaurant like this (the kind you don't go to every day, but for special occasions), it's perfectly acceptable in our opinion. The decor is elegant and refined. The servers are efficient, polite, and discreet. You can go there without hesitation.

What a wonderful discovery this charming little restaurant is! The dishes, as elegant as they are delicious, combine meticulous attention to detail, creativity, and a perfect balance of flavors. Each course is a true delight for the eyes and the palate. The intimate and pleasant setting, thanks to the well-spaced tables, invites you to fully savor the moment. We look forward to returning to this address very soon.

We had a reservation for four at P'ti Bateau for 12:45 on a weekday. We were greeted by a strong smell of sewage that no one attempted to mask or mitigate. We were the only customers, which probably explains the haste with which we had to order, eat our courses, and leave. Three of us had coffee; the fourth didn't receive the petit fours, a petty stinginess that is not usually the norm. We didn't receive the honor of a visit from the chef at the end of our meal, nor any apology for the discomfort caused by the persistent sewage smell that accompanied our meal. It was difficult to appreciate the food under those conditions. Otherwise, the decor was minimalist, the staff seemed to be in training, and we were locked in the door and the curtain was drawn as soon as we stepped onto the sidewalk.

It's good; you can clearly tell that the local produce is prepared and cooked with care. There's passion in the service. However, calling the establishment "gastronomic" seems a bit of an exaggeration. I would describe it more as semi-gastronomic: well-executed local cuisine with good intentions, but lacking sophistication and a willingness to take risks. It's encouraging, promising, and makes you want to see them push their boundaries even further. On the other hand, the price is, frankly, a bit high considering the quality of the ingredients, which are, after all, market-fresh. I'll be back next year with curiosity and anticipation.

Waited at the door at 7:30 PM with another couple who had also booked for that time; no apology for the delay. Pleasant service from two young people, but the portions were small. Very disappointed

I thought it was just wow! A truly WOW tasting experience!!! Dishes you won't find anywhere else!!!! Simple ingredients, but elevated to perfection!! I'm Mediterranean and I was looking for a freshwater fish restaurant, and I found a couple of restaurateurs who love to share and teach. I work in the restaurant industry and I'm quick to judge servers and cooks, but here, the apprentices and trainees love what they do, and it shows in the service and the food. Thank you for this sublime meal.

We came for lunch as a couple on a Saturday and left delighted by the delicious, beautifully presented, and sophisticated cuisine. All made with high-quality local ingredients. The waitresses are lovely, and the chef and his wife are equally charming. A truly wonderful place in the region, not to be missed under any circumstances! P.S. - Unbeatable value for money!
