Le Petit Gourmand sur Kientzheim

We went to the restaurant for lunch today and ordered 5 plates for a family of 6. Our family usually shares the ordered food and hence as usual, we asked for extra empty plates today. However, to our shock, the chef said that there will be additional charges if we were to be provided with extra plates. I have never seen any other French restaurant do this to their guests before. I just dont get why anyone would make this decision, give the guests a poor eating experience and earn themselves a one or two star review for bad service. The food isn't bad, but the service quality is really lacking.

A good restaurant just outside Kaysersberg, away from the overly touristy places. The dining room is spacious and parking is easy. The friendly service is excellent. The value for money is quite reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

I went here based on reasonably good reviews. The food was fine, but nothing special. What disappointed me was the austere and dull decor of the terrace and restaurant; I don't find it a cozy place to sit.

We made a great choice with the daily menu. Exciting and delicious options for both the starter and dessert. Attentive service. They even took our dog into consideration.

Excellent sauerkraut terrine in a very classy setting. The staff are helpful and friendly, top-notch 🙂

Spring is mushroom season! We enjoyed two meat sauced mushroom dishes. Each meal came with fries and either peas or salad. Meal prices between 25 to 28€. Typical French style service. Accommodating of non-French speakers. All other tables were French speakers on a Wednesday night.
