As food lovers, we'd heard about Chez Bastien several times… so it was high time we went to check it out! From the moment we arrived, Bastien, the owner and chef, welcomed us with warmth and simplicity. And the food more than lived up to the hype. We discovered a subtle, generous, and flavorful cuisine, just the way we like it. Dishes crafted with precision, beautiful ingredients, and above all, a true sense of identity. A flawless experience from start to finish. Special mention must also go to the service and the wine recommendations: a perfect match for our meal, demonstrating genuine knowledge and mastery of the subject. You can feel Bastien's passion for his craft, both in his hospitality and in his cooking, and that's exactly what we look for when we walk through the door of a restaurant. A truly wonderful discovery that I highly recommend. If you haven't yet discovered Chez Bastien, go without hesitation… you won't be disappointed! Kudos to Bastien and his entire team for a truly wonderful experience. 👏🍷

A superb dinner in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with modern cuisine, but above all, very delicious!

Disappointing experience at Chez Bastien. My wife and I arrived around 7:45 PM, only about 15 minutes after the restaurant had opened. There were roughly eight tables outside, although only four or five appeared to be fully set with tablecloths, glasses, and cutlery. There was only one couple dining outside. We went in and very politely asked for a table for two, in French. The maître d' asked if we had a reservation. When I explained that we didn't, he very apologetically told us that the restaurant was fully booked and only accepted diners with reservations. I understand that reservations are sometimes necessary, and I have no issue with a restaurant operating that way. What was disappointing was that this wasn't clear from the outside, especially with the restaurant appearing almost completely empty so soon after opening. I had heard great things about the food and that Chez Bastien was a must-visit when dining in Manosque, so we were particularly disappointed not to even have the opportunity to try it. If reservations are required, it would be helpful to make that clear so people don't make the trip expecting to be able to get a table.

We had a wonderful time; everything was perfect and refined, with excellent products. The welcome was very warm and the atmosphere very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

Excellent place, top-notch food and service. Never disappointed, we come back every year...

A small menu, but each dish was beautifully prepared and refined. So good, in fact, that we felt the portions could have been a bit more generous (a rack of lamb was like two chops, and a shallow ramekin about 10 cm in diameter served with mashed potatoes to share between five people, in addition to the few vegetables included with the main courses). But we'll definitely be back!

Exceptional cuisine! We recommend the bourride and the ravioli. The seared tuna and the octopus were also exquisite, according to my husband. We haven't even finished dinner yet, but it was so delicious that we're not even waiting for dessert to comment! 😉

A real treat. Everything was perfect. I would do it again without hesitation.
