Great little place at the foot of Chateau Chalon in the Jura. They serve a balanced combination of local specialties and Asian delights. So think home made pâté, chicken cooked with morels and Vin Jaune, salads, charcuterie. But there’s also a decent hamburger (tasted home made) and three SE Asian dishes. I had the steamed prawn dumpling which was excellent. And their pate had garlic, vegetables and a hint of coriander - giving it a pleasant gentle crunch, differentiating it from some many similar pate in the area. A decent wine list to match the food. Their deserts are certainly home made and the milk ice cream with morels was unusual and excellent with a white Macvin. The meal was good value for money too.

A super warm welcome despite our late arrival. We really appreciated the family atmosphere, don't change a thing. The food is excellent 🤩🤩. I highly recommend this restaurant; you can go without hesitation.

We arrived at 2:00 PM and received a very warm welcome! The meal was excellent, and the atmosphere was very friendly and family-oriented. Special mention for the morel parfait, which was very original! We had a wonderful time. We highly recommend it! Thank you!

06/07/2026: A true gem! The dishes were fresh, carefully prepared, and absolutely delicious. What makes this place truly special is its warm and welcoming atmosphere: from the moment you arrive, you feel like you're visiting friends. The service was attentive, very friendly, and took the time to attend to each customer. If you're looking for flavorful cuisine in a friendly and authentic setting, you've come to the right place. We will definitely be back!
22/06/2026: A HUGE thank you to Philippe and his chef Jérôme, with whom I had a very pleasant and convivial time. Arriving unexpectedly around 3:30 pm, I was welcomed almost like a friend, with warmth and smiles, and they cooked for me despite the late hour. A delicious one-dish meal with Morteau sausage and a local Chardonnay with a fruity, mineral character! All served at the counter at my request! Thank you, Philippe and Jérôme, and if I come back, as promised, I'll have a full meal with a starter and dessert. Signed, the three-wheeled scooter rider (they'll understand).

09/08/2024: Je ne comprends pas les commentaires négatifs sur ce restaurant. Le patron, sa femme (et leur fils ?) sont charmants. La cuisine, sans être fantastique, est de bonne qualité. N’arrivez pas trop tard, sinon vous serez à l’intérieur et la salle manque définitivement d’atmosphère. Faites particulièrement attention aux Mardis où tous les restaurants de Château Chalon sont fermés à part une guinguette et ceux qui veulent déjeuner doivent aller à Voiteur (ce fut notre cas).
13/06/2024: La patronne nous a très aimablement accueilli et servi mais la cuisine est des plus banales, sans saveur, sauce industrielle. La salle trop vaste, pas assez meublée, manque de chaleur. De la bonne volonté de la part des gérants mais ils fait qu’ils apprennent le métier.
