We came for dinner with our vegetarian children and chose the Janne menu with wine pairings. The chef brilliantly rose to the challenge of creating two vegetarian and two classic versions of the Janne menu for our table, all while preserving the harmony and spirit of the original menu. Once again, it was a true sensory journey.
First, the eyes are filled with wonder, then the aromas awaken the senses, before the flavors elevate the palate… to pure ecstasy.
Thank you to the entire Pily team for this wonderful experience, for your creativity, your delicacy, and your incredible ability to surprise us with every bite. An experience that is always refined, generous, and exceptional!

A relaxed, intimate atmosphere with a breathtaking view of Cherbourg's outer harbor thanks to its ideal location on the swing bridge. The service is very pleasant, professional, and friendly without being stuffy.
As for the food, it's simply perfect. Everything is delicious from start to finish. What's more, the menu changes regularly depending on the day's catch and the chef's inspiration. The dishes are refined, the flavors always surprising and original. Head straight to Pily; they'll make you fall in love with seafood for sure. As a bonus, the cocktails are also delicious and incredibly original. A place you can go to without hesitation to be guaranteed a fantastic meal!

An exceptional experience at Le Pily! Refined, creative, and flavorful gourmet cuisine. Every dish is prepared with great precision and passion, from appetizer to dessert. The service is also impeccable, with a welcoming and attentive team. I even got to visit the kitchen!

Top-notch restaurant.
Warm welcome, very attentive and caring staff.
Excellent cuisine, with some dishes offering surprising twists.
Edit: After three visits in 2021 (at their old location in town) and then in 2022 and 2025 at their new location on the swing bridge, this restaurant remains simply incredible and exquisite!
Edit: Fourth visit in 2026, still just as incredible! Thank you!

Le Pily is a restaurant we've had the pleasure of discovering several times, and each time it's been an incredible experience!
The setting is elegant and welcoming, the service is impeccable, and the fish dishes are simply exceptional: refined, sophisticated, creative, and above all, delicious. Each plate is a true discovery, and the whole experience is a genuine gastronomic delight.
The prices are quite reasonable for a Michelin-starred restaurant, especially considering the quality offered.
We wholeheartedly recommend Le Pily! For us, it's THE restaurant to discover and experience in Cherbourg. A must-visit!
