We're going to raise our rating for this restaurant. We stayed by the fireplace on this freezing day...the dining room is very large, but the staff were always attentive...the service was efficient...it's called a brasserie, but it's very good value for money...the people here still enjoy welcoming customers and providing quality food

Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience! It had been a long time since I'd had baby squid, and they were delicious! The portions were generous and excellent, and pairing them with the Eguski white beer was a great discovery.
The service was quick, the servers were super friendly, and I'll definitely be back!

Excellent experience.
To begin with, we don't understand the negative reviews; they're probably from Parisians who think they own the place. Parisians, go back home! You have no business being in the Basque Country!
The food was plentiful and generous, the waiters were friendly and smiling, and despite the crowds, we were taken care of the whole time.
However, a special mention goes to the fact that all generations of the family work together... that's remarkable and admirable... BRAVO!
I highly recommend it.
And I insist, the negative reviews from Parisians are worthless.

You can't go to St Jean de Luz without eating there, the dishes are very good. Special mention to the brandade and the axoa, as well as the Amatxi rice pudding, divine...

Lunch shared this afternoon with my wife.
As for the restaurant's interior ambiance, it's not great!
The food itself is pretty good.
Plenty of choice on the plate.
Local charcuterie.
We discovered the veal Axao, a Basque specialty, and we enjoyed it.
The staff does a good job, although a smile from time to time would have been welcome.
Decent prices at the exit.
Overall, nothing disastrous, quite the opposite.
