No frills here, just the pleasure of good food and a great time. The dishes are generous, flavorful, and prepared with care. The cuisine is hearty and full of character, a true delight for the taste buds. The welcome is warm, the service friendly, and the atmosphere particularly pleasant. A place to come for good food, good drinks, and a great time. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect. Sibillyne recommended the restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. The portions were very generous, the restaurant was very quiet, and the decor was beautiful. The servers were very pleasant.

Each dish showcases true expertise: quality ingredients, refined flavors, and entirely homemade cuisine that delights the palate from beginning to end. Special mention goes to the sorbets, which are absolutely delicious and provide the perfect ending to the meal. An exceptional culinary experience that I wholeheartedly recommend!

We absolutely loved Gargamelle! We wanted to try a little bit of everything, and we're so glad we did: gravlax, ceviche, pork rillettes, octopus carpaccio, guinea fowl ballotine… we adored every single dish. Everything is homemade, and you can really taste the difference. The ingredients are prepared with care, and the flavors are bold and generous. We enjoyed every bite from start to finish, without a single disappointment. The staff is friendly and relaxed, the atmosphere is welcoming, and you feel right at home, without any pretension. A wonderful, genuine, and delicious place. If you're ever in Saumur, don't miss it!

The food and service were excellent, I had the belly of pork and my wife sausage and mash. Certainly in the top 3 meals I have ever had. A little princess ey but worth every centre.

14/06/2026: Hello, we had a very good meal with generous portions, which was a real treat. It was a bit away from the noise of the square and in the shade. The waitresses were very kind and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was very reasonably priced for the quality. Congratulations to Romain and his team, as well as to the waitress. We will definitely be back. Thank you for this very pleasant experience.
