Restaurant on a sloping street. The food is good, and there's a good selection. The atmosphere is decent, though a bit noisy. We recommend booking in advance. It's a shame that during the off-season, the restaurant doesn't accept reservations after 8 pm.

What a unique place to eat! The staff are welcoming and pleasant. The service is professional, as nothing is missing from the table and the dishes are good and fresh. It just lacks a slightly more convivial atmosphere to make this unusual place truly excellent.

The galettes and crêpes are relatively good. The service is simple, but the staff is very friendly. The real problem is that the ventilation system must be ineffective or nonexistent; when you enter the restaurant, there's a thick fog and a mixture of smells from fries, galettes, and meat. When we left, our clothes smelled of grease, and we couldn't get rid of the odor. This really bothered us, and we won't be going back for this reason alone.

Tonight's special is roasted duck breast with caramelized sauce… absolutely divine… a 400g piece for only €22 a dish… Bravo! A must-visit on the island

A very good crêperie, simple and efficient. The crêpes are delicious, generously filled, and served without any pretension. The atmosphere is friendly and the service pleasant. A place where you can eat well, without any fuss, and with pleasure.

Le Bistrot du Marin

27/04/2026: A very pleasant bistro, both in terms of decor and service. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable, especially thanks to the terrace overlooking the harbor, which is a real bonus. The food is generally very good, with some dishes being particularly well-executed. The coffee was also excellent, which is always a welcome way to finish a meal. However, the prices are quite high, clearly in a touristy range, comparable to those found in Paris. Overall, a good place to eat, pleasant for a convivial meal, although the value for money might be a little less than ideal.
27/04/2026: We enjoyed our lunch during our visit to St Martin en Ré. We will be back.

Le Bastion

16/04/2026: A legendary spot on Île de Ré where the festive atmosphere is top-notch. The food and menu are acceptable, nothing more, but you go there for the ambiance, the setting, and the atmosphere. The service, however, is always exceptional and attentive. We are and will remain loyal customers.
04/04/2026: We went to the club when it opened. The atmosphere was great. The DJ was fantastic, with music for all tastes. The waiters and bartenders were lovely. Max on the shuttle was truly the boss, and it was so nice to get home safely in such good conditions. Le Bastion gets a 10/10, come every night without hesitation!
