Excellent restaurant in Sarlat!

Hello! We are from Argentina, we came to spend a night in Sarlat on the recommendation of a friend, we did not know that in the low season almost everything was closed, but we had the honor of meeting just when you opened the restaurant for this night. It has been a pleasure and a luxury to have dinner with you. Everything delicious and incredible attention! From the octopus starter, to the duck magret with that celery risotto that is wonderful, and the chocolate dessert! They made our day with the love they put into the kitchen. It really has been a pleasure! Thank you!

Magnificent setting. Mastered cuisine (the duck breast was delicious). At the service, three welcoming and efficient young women. We will come back during our next visit to Sarlat

This is a restaurant that blew hot and cold during our visit at the end of October. First of all, the exterior setting is superb so we let ourselves be tempted. It was a Friday evening in October, so we had dinner inside. The tables are beautiful, real tablecloths and napkins. On the other hand, no heating, it's cold, things are off to a bad start. As there are only 3 of us in the room, there is cathedral silence. I ask if it is possible to have some light background music but the waitress (frankly poorly dressed) tells me that she does not know how to turn on the music. music. We order 2 cocktails (14 or 15€ per cocktail from memory) which are very good and some care is taken in the presentation. So we order the pan-fried foie gras which is delicious. On the other hand, it is accompanied by an Asian broth so salty that we don’t touch it. Our neighbor at the table made the same observation. Then we take the poultry ballotines. Here again, it’s hot and cold. The poultry is delicious, very moist, a success. On the other hand, the accompaniment, Sarladaise potatoes, was inedible. Even though it’s a dish with garlic, there are limits, it was like biting into garlic. What happened in the kitchen that evening? We have already eaten Sarladaise potatoes, whatever the waitress said, they are never this garlicky. The desert did not excite us.. We drank a Chablis which was excellent. I hope I came across a “free” evening, we will try the experience again next year because this restaurant has everything it takes to be a success even if I will probably attract the wrath of the owner..

Absolutely superb. Huge portions. The duck breast reduction must've taken days to fix. It was so good. Chocolate dessert. Wow!!!

We walked out of another restaurant in Sarlat & decided we wanted a special meal, so this was our choice. We had eaten here 7 years ago & we were hoping it was just as good. We were not disappointed. We sat out on the terrace & had a lovely meal with 3 courses set at 55 euros. The standouts were the duck & the chicken. The cocktail with champagne shot was delicious & the chablis was very smooth. The gourmand dessert with champagne gave you a small taste of 4 desserts. My only criticism is that they could offer a purely vegetarian option on the mains menu. Taking the pork out of the fish dish is not making it vegetarian. We left feeling it had been one of the better meals on our trip.

Hier stimmt alles. Wunderschöne Terrasse im romantischen Garten einer historischen Anlage, dem ehemaligen Sitz der königlichen Justiz im 17. Jahrhundert. Exquisites 4-Gang Menü mit Escalopes de Foies Gras, Carré d'agneau au Pesto à la menthe. Vorzüglich!
