Excellent culinary exploration and flavors to discover...I recommend it...

I dined at Le Prieuré restaurant last week with my partner, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the sophisticated flavors. However, several things made our experience less enjoyable than we expected. First, the service. We were served by a young waiter who wasn't a sommelier. When a restaurant decides to offer several different wine pairings (with increasing prices), and we choose three glasses from the gastronomic selection (the most expensive), we expect to receive a list of the wines included in the selection and, even better, a presentation of the bottle along with the service at the table. The waiter brought our glasses already filled, and when we asked for more information about the first wine, he said he would find out and then said nothing more. The next two wines received no explanation either. We didn't know what we drank, despite spending €30 per person, which is unacceptable for a restaurant that presents itself as gourmet and has generally high prices. Furthermore, we were displeased not to have been informed in advance of the price of the bottle of still water, which we paid €6 for. I can expect to pay these kinds of prices in large, cosmopolitan cities, but not in Ambierle. In conclusion, we ate well, but we will not be returning to this restaurant for the reasons stated. It's a shame.

An exceptional evening with a rib of beef cooked to perfection exactly as we requested. Exquisite, varied, and in some cases, original side dishes that will transport you to another world. The service was very pleasant and perfectly suited to our personalities. We eagerly await our next visit.

My mother was celebrating her 100th birthday, and we received a particularly warm welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is therefore very pleasant, with staff who combine professionalism and humor. The dishes are out of the ordinary and make you want to come back. Keep up the good work!

Excellent value for money with the €29 lunch menu (starter, main course, dessert). Delicious and refined cuisine. Efficient service. Pleasant setting opposite the Ambierle priory.
