Le Procopio sur Saintes

Family lunch today at noon. Very warm welcome and excellent service. The dishes and desserts were well-presented and delicious. The only downside was the noisy restaurant, mainly due to the loud music, forcing customers to speak loudly to be heard over it.

Good pizzeria in the pedestrian zone of Saintes near the cathedral. The crust was a little thin for my taste, but the pizza was generously topped and delicious, made with quality ingredients. The waiter (or perhaps the owner) was very friendly and smiling. He had a great sense of humor! The interior is in the Saintes style, all stonework and dressed stone, an authentic rustic style! We were very comfortable, with plenty of space at the table. We were delighted! The pasta dishes were a big hit with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law! I didn't try them! Dessert: Amarena ice cream, very good! We were thrilled and will be back! We'll be back again in October 2025 and March 2026! Always just as good, with fast and impeccable service and a smile ♥️

We went on February 13th in the evening, and the fish and shellfish meal was excellent (no Milanese cutlet, sadly), as was the service. And today at lunchtime, they had Milanese cutlet, yes! Quite disappointed, I've had better. The coffee was awful. A shame.

Hello We booked a table around 1:15 pm and were very warmly welcomed by the owner, who was as friendly as ever. However, the waitress was very rushed and unpleasant, and there was a long wait... she was clearly in a hurry to reset the tables, I suppose for the evening! We got the impression she was preoccupied. The service was terrible. We wanted to order more drinks, but she didn't even look at us. It was a big disappointment; we felt like she was eager for us to leave. It's a real shame, so overall, it's a mixed bag. The food was very good, but the service was awful. 🤨

I'm a fairly regular customer of Procopio, whether for takeaway pizzas or a romantic dinner. It's clearly one of the best places in Saintes for a reasonable price. The only slight drawback, which could also be considered an advantage, is its location on a small street in the city center, quite typical of the region's old streets. Parking is rather difficult, but walking around is very pleasant. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is great, whether for a romantic dinner or a family meal.

Just passing through…and an unforgettable restaurant, both for the food and the service! Not to mention the smiles of the owner and our waiter. Thank you.

The welcome was fantastic! The prices for the set menus are very reasonable. It was quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait, but the evening went wonderfully, and the meals were very generous and delicious 😄 We'll gladly come back! See you soon!

A lovely family lunch on a Saturday. It had been a while since our last visit. My daughter had previously dined at this establishment, so we decided to have another meal there. Pure bliss! The setting is idyllic, and the service and food were top-notch! My daughter had a hamburger—absolutely delicious! The rest of the family ordered the mixed grill, which was a real treat and very generous portion. The flank steak was simply perfect. In short, it was a wonderful time spent together.
