A very pleasant place, even in the heat (shaded pedestrian street with fans). Quick service, especially for children. No salad with the steak and fries 😁 It's great that they thought about reducing waste!
The mussels and fries were EXCELLENT!

I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and there was a time when I wasn't satisfied with the food. I came back so as not to be left with that bad experience, and I rediscovered the restaurant I loved so much for its food, atmosphere, and service! Beautiful and generous portions!

We’ve eaten at this restaurant on a previous trip to Saintes and loved it but this time not quite so much.
My husband had a pizza which was wafer thin which was disappointing. I chose the vegetable pasta and unfortunately was very disappointed and only ate half of it. The pasta was heated to such a high temperature that it burnt my mouth and even after 20 minutes it still hadn’t really cooled, which makes me think it had been microwaved. The vegetables were not mixed with the pasta or
sauce and were watery as was the cream sauce.
We do like this restaurant so will try again when we return and hope this was just a hiccup.

Second time, lunch break on the way from Lille to Bordeaux. Excellent welcome, lovely atmosphere, simple and tasty dish. In short, fantastic!
Moreover, the price for two was less than the price per person the previous evening. The quality can be affordable. Go for it!
