Discovered by chance during a ride on the electric train, it was a very good culinary experience. Simple dishes, beautifully presented, generous portions, and above all, delicious. The staff was very attentive, and the terrace set up on the grass under a large tree is very pleasant, even in this heat; there's always a gentle breeze. I highly recommend it.

Passing through Saintes, we stumbled upon this brasserie and what a pleasant surprise! A table in the shade of the trees, a warm welcome with a smile. What more could you ask for? And yet, there's more. Unpretentious dishes, just the way we like them. The portions are generous, the food is simple, and it's homemade with fresh ingredients. It's flawless from start to finish, the cooking is perfect, and everything comes together for a great time and, above all, a delicious meal. As for the prices, they are very reasonable for the quality of the food and the generous portions. There are still restaurants out there that know how to make simple, home-style, and truly excellent cuisine. A place to remember if you're ever in Saintes. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the tarte tatin.

Great restaurant where all the dishes are homemade, with a particular favorite being the beef tartare, which is excellent. And always a very warm welcome. A lovely spot where it's pleasant to have lunch on the terrace in winter or in the shade of the large tree in summer. Reservations recommended.

On a VERY hot day, two weary travellers turned a corner and found a little piece of heaven, Le P'tit Bacchus. All the tables had been moved to the shade of a large tree and most were already filled with customers. It was clear that we had found a great place to stop for lunch. The food was excellent, clearly cooked on the premises and the service was efficient and friendly. It really was a great experience. Good prices too.
