Service was timely, forgiving of my less than perfect french, and beautifully relaxed.
4 courses of heavenly food for €37 - wow!
Lentil and goats cheese starter - sublime
Onglet of beef with a Dijon mustard sauce, garlicky, herby roast potatoes and a few roast veg - delicuous
Plate of local cheeses - 4 different and all divine
Desert - pretty and tasted even better than they looked.
If you're looking for a good spot for lunch, park at Les Halles and stroll to Le P'tit Bouchon.

In Châteauroux, there's the church and the P'tit Bouchon (or vice versa). A generously served dinner of duck breast with blackcurrant sauce... which reconciled me with the town.

Excellent, locally sourced cuisine, generous portions, and very reasonably priced. The service is impeccable, complete with smiles and good cheer.
The decor is charming, and you can also browse their antique shop across the street (prices are reasonable there too).

A fantastic spot in the old town of Châteauroux! The decor features checkered tablecloths, wooden tables and benches, kitchen utensils hanging from the ceiling, colorful tins, miniature cars in a display case, and photos from 1950s French films! That's the setting! As for the menu, it's excellent, unpretentious, but delicious French cuisine. It truly embodies authentic France! They also offer good regional wines. The service is friendly and professional, and the prices are reasonable! I highly recommend it!
