Excellent seafood cuisine, very friendly staff and fast service, however this is due to the very touristy location, we are quite crowded, and the dessert (an ice cream sundae) the cream had trouble holding its shape.

The seafood sauerkraut...delicious. So good, I forgot to take a picture 😁 The staff is very friendly. No waiting for service or between courses. I recommend this restaurant, and as a bonus, there's a souvenir shop next door.

I'm visiting the Cotentin with my partner to explore the D-Day landing beaches. We won't be spending all our time on the beaches. We've decided to visit other towns. During this visit to the town of Cherbourg, we'll stop at the Cité de la Mer. With a seafood sauerkraut and a NEMO salad, we'll appreciate the quality of this establishment's flavors. Things to Do

We ate very well there, the service was excellent, however, as for the general atmosphere apart from the fact that it was in the city of the sea, otherwise I found it very neutral (or I didn't catch the details).

Located in the lobby of the Cité de la Mer, sheltered from the region's unpredictable climate, this restaurant is a very pleasant surprise. A varied menu and good quality food are served. All this with friendly, welcoming service and excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

15/01/2026: To celebrate the end of the year, a few friends and I came for brunch! Everything was excellent and plentiful!! The flavors were spot-on, the ingredients were well-prepared and presented, and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend it!!

17/06/2025: Beautiful place where the view of the basins serves as a backdrop. We had the JANNE menu and its 3 glasses of wine. Lots of freshness in the dishes, very fine accompanying juices. The only downside was that the maceration wine, which went extremely well with the sauce of the last dish (lobster), was served to me in anticipation of the previous dish and... it didn't go well at all. I would have preferred to be offered a supplement of the previous wine... On the other hand, it's the first time I've enjoyed an orange wine. Congratulations!
14/06/2025: Well, there we are, we've been there. Pierre, Lydie, and their team live up to what we say about them. It's a lot of little things in the mouth, I love it. But let's not kid ourselves, it costs a fortune, and few people can afford it. Thanks to them for making us taste this cuisine in a much more accessible way during their participation in various popular events. For those who can afford it... Go for it 🦞
