While visiting the Cité de la Mer, we had lunch there. A great find! Despite the crowds, the perfectly managed service allowed us to be seated quickly and enjoy some excellent food. Generous portions and impeccable service.

The oysters and mussels were excellent, the service very attentive, the tables were a bit too close together for my taste. But a definite recommendation for a lovely lunch in Cherbourg.

We highly recommend this restaurant. The service is very fast, and the servers are lovely and very kind. The quality/price ratio is more than reasonable. A big thumbs up for the parillada, which was excellent. The salmon tartare was flawless.

While visiting the Cité de la Mer, we stopped at this restaurant. A great find! The portions were very generous and delicious. The staff was very friendly. Be sure to book in advance. However, the chairs for dining weren't great; I left with a slight backache. But overall, a very good place to stop without hesitation.

An interesting culinary interlude in Cherbourg with good seafood 🌊 Efficient service and good value for money (The seafood sauerkraut with Normandy cream is to be enjoyed without moderation).

Le Pily

18/09/2026: Superb location, small portions even for a fine dining establishment, but tasty. However, a bad experience with an unfriendly waiter who, moreover, refused to acknowledge the billing error: two complete wine pairing menus, one of which was alcohol-free, were charged at the same price, contrary to the prices listed on the menu. Check your bills!
12/09/2026: For discerning food lovers like us, the "Pily" experience was breathtaking and exhilarating. The freshness and perfect balance of textures were simply stunning. Each dish was a work of art. The wines, whether original or wonderfully complex, were always a perfect complement to the food. The staff was attentive, quick, and efficient. In short, THANK YOU to the entire team. A perfect 10/10 is well deserved.
