Le Ramuntcho sur Dax

We chose Ramuntcho as our caterer for our wedding on July 31, 2026, for 48 guests at the Château de Castex d'Armagnac. The cocktail hour was served over a fire pit on the terrace—chistorra and grilled duck breast skewers prepared in front of the guests—and that's what everyone remembers most about the day. Dinner followed: soft-boiled egg with herb cream, then beef fillet with porcini mushroom sauce or truffled chicken supreme, depending on each guest's choice, sheep's cheese with cherry jam, and an exotic mango-passion fruit wedding cake. The service was seamless from 6 p.m. until the late-night bar at 4 a.m. Beforehand, the team kept track of our back-and-forth on the guest count right up to the last week, answered every question in writing, and made corrections without hesitation—for a couple who meticulously count their guests, that means a great deal. We highly recommend them for a wedding, not just for a restaurant meal.

A very pleasant Bodega. The service is efficient and very friendly, and the food is delicious, local, and the meat is cooked to perfection. To top it all off, the wine list, while not extensive, is also quite local and very reasonably priced. In short, a great place!

We had a long conversation with Laurie, who was always very friendly, and we were able to do a tasting in Dax. The team was always open to our feedback and suggestions for changes. On the big day, the entire team was professional and friendly. We ate very well, and all the guests complimented the vegetarian menu. The brunch was equally impressive; we have absolutely no complaints. Everything was perfect, with excellent accommodations for allergies and intolerances (gluten-free). The team was very self-sufficient, which allowed for a wonderful sense of relaxation during the wedding! Thank you so much!
