Le recepteur sur Paris

Our hosts at the B&B my wife are staying in less than 300 metres up Avenue Théophile Gautier from Le Récepteur highly recommended the restaurant to us, and then after having read so very many positive reviews about the restaurant here on TripAdvisor, we walked in without a reservation on Monday evening, May 13th, and were warmly welcomed by Amir. Amir offered us a table inside the restaurant, which isn’t large at all, seating about thirty people max inside, and about as many outside. Amir was friendly, helpful, and informed us about each dish on the menu, which was comprised of seven starters, nine main courses, and two salads. My wife & I learned long ago, if we ask for a waitress or waiter’s recommendation, we accept it, and so we both did when Amir described the Black Angus Steak with Mustard Sauce, Homemade French Fries, and Salad, which he told us he believed was the best dish on the menu the night we dined there. Both our steaks came out of the kitchen cooked perfectly to our respective liking (medium rare for my wife, and medium for me). The French Fries were hot and savoury, and the salad was fresh and nicely chilled. Amir provided attentive and friendly service, which we enjoyed and appreciated. For the quality of food and service, Le Récepteur delivers great “value for money”. Le Récepteur is certainly worthy of its very high rating on TripAdvisor, and my wife & I are glad our hosts, Remy & Odile, recommended it to us, and that we went and were able to get a table.

We were staying in the neighborhood and it was a little late, our hotel recommended this restaurant. Glad we went, good food, homemade, simple bistro fare which was very well done. Chalk board menu, always means something good, personal, and "of the day." Nice atmosphere with lots of Parisian charm.
