Le Refuge Payot sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

A paradise of cheese, charcuterie, and gourmet products. Incredible. We had the cheese and wine platter outside, which was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend it.

A huge selection and good quality products. However, there are too many items available for tasting, which prevents people from browsing because they seem to be there more to eat than to buy, and this detracts from the overall experience. Just a thought, of course.

They don’t have good Beaufort So sad to waste so much money here The Beaufort is so dry and not creamy or silky enough. It’s not even milk although they said it’s aged for 2 years…. It tastes totally not like that but they do have other goods and cheaper They provide lotta selections for your to taste, which is very nice

Je vous assure n’écoutez pas les commentaires, ce n’est que calomnie. Nous sommes passés au refuge Payot et avons trouver notre réconfort avec une multitude de produits de qualité pour les moula. L’accueil, le service et les conseils donnés par la dame était parfait, je recommande à 100%

Nice products, but the service was minimal, with no bags or boxes provided to carry our purchases – a bit of a shame considering it cost €85 for 3 bottles of wine plus the lovely chocolate tart.

Their service is excellent and they are very cheerful. They have various types of jams, cheeses, and other items that would make good gifts.

A very good experience at this shop. We went there several times during our stay. The staff (a young man and the manager) were always welcoming and friendly. They even gave our children little treats (a few sweets on the way out). A wide selection of Savoyard and Swiss products. You can sample the charcuterie, and when you ask for advice, the staff are always happy to explain. I didn't find the prices excessive! We stocked up before leaving... but I'll be back. A nice touch: the anti-waste initiative at the end of the shop! A great idea to combat food waste! The option to order online is also a fantastic idea. And finally, their sausage is a gold medal winner in 2025.
