Rather expensive, but surely due to the location: over 10 minutes to take an order at teatime, a crowded terrace, overwhelmed waiters, and a pint of syrup water for 4.60...in short

Not as good as it used to be... The ham hock with Saint-Nectaire sauce... very little sauce, overcooked ham hock, not confit...

Good brewery does the job. Classic quality.

The quality of the salads in particular has declined, which is a shame.

We felt right at home. Very friendly staff, excellent food, and a cheerful atmosphere.

We received an excellent welcome and were shown to our reserved table upstairs. The servers were very courteous and patient while taking our order. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was exceptionally light, yet incredibly smooth and flavorful. On a Saturday evening, the dining room was a bit noisier than on a previous weekday visit to the ground floor, with many families seated at tables. Despite this relaxed atmosphere, we had a very pleasant evening.

There were six of us, and one person arrived a little later than us. Our aperitif order was taking forever; when we signaled to the waitress, she brushed us off in an unfriendly tone, adding a snide remark to boot. When it came time to order our main courses, the waiter displayed the same impatience and a closed expression, eyeing those who hadn't yet chosen... It was truly unpleasant to be served under these conditions! P.S.: La Madeleine should remove the mussels and fries from the menu when it's not in season: as a result, we were forced to pay €18 for mussels that were barely a centimeter, half a centimeter!! That's not fair. And the best part... We were politely asked to leave, again by the waitress with her legendary grace, because she had to set the table for the second seating!! Against her better judgment, she's simply following orders from her superiors... Conclusion: don't go on a Saturday night, and if you do, eat quickly during the first seating! Otherwise, have dinner from 9:30 pm onwards...
