Le Relais du Morvan sur Vezelay

I didn't use the hotel's services, just the restaurant. I enjoyed the food (including the vegetarian options), however, two shortcomings in the service at our table concerned me. The staff remained courteous and apologized, but offered no compensation.

The welcome was warm and the food was good, however the hotel rooms are in dire need of renovation. We didn't have hot water in the morning.

On a slightly crazy road trip, reminiscent of the French comedy film "Naked and Unashamed," I set off on a grand adventure with no money to cross the Morvan region with my two dogs, Ubi and Ulyne 🐶🐶. And that day, an incredible surprise: the restaurant manager offered me a hot meal 🙏. A truly generous gesture that perfectly embodies the human spirit one encounters on this kind of adventure. The welcome was warm and genuine, and it's truly a pleasure to meet people like that on the road. The restaurant is very well located, right near the filming location of a famous 1966 French film, perfect for a delicious break during a day of filming and adventure. Everything you need for a good meal. Thank you again for this wonderful encounter (special mention to the most Québécois of Marseillaises) and for this helping hand on our adventure. Decent food (slightly undercooked trout), very slow service, original setting but very friendly staff.

A very good meal in the sunshine on the terrace. Andouillette gratin, wild boar bourguignon, and a salad with Tomme du Vigneron cheese. Cheese plate and baked apples. Vézelay white and Pinot Noir by the glass. Everything was very good and reasonably priced. Pleasant and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Following a car breakdown, we received a very warm welcome from the team at Relais du Morvan. After a delicious meal and friendly conversation with them, we were kindly driven to the train station. In short, truly excellent service, the kind you rarely find. We look forward to visiting you again when we have more time!

We ended up staying two nights between Christmas and New Year's, planning a short break! It has the feel of an old-fashioned inn, authentic, The welcome was very warm and friendly 😊 Mulled wine at the bar after our refreshing walks Delicious food at the restaurant. Arrived late, very warm welcome, traditional Burgundy cuisine, hearty, flavored with epoisse cheese...the address is certainly worth the detour.
