Le Rétro sur Laon

Delicious combination of kidneys and sweetbreads. Perfect sauce. We were craving fries. Very friendly welcome. Impeccable service.

We were a bit lost in Laon, looking for a nice little restaurant, and stumbled quite by chance upon Le Rétro. And against all odds, the meal was exquisite! Fresh sole pan-fried to perfection for me (€38), Angus ribeye for my partner (€32), who was clearly delighted with his choice. The waitress, Gladys, was absolutely lovely. We'll cherish the memory!

A wonderful discovery! Delicious dishes served quickly, as we were short on time. We enjoyed the calf's head, the cod with saffron risotto, and the sweetbreads and kidneys. Everything was impeccable, from the service to the presentation. Lovely people in a charming Christmas atmosphere. Highly recommended.
