31/03/2026: A very warm welcome, friendly and attentive staff. On my second visit, I had a salmon galette (sorry, I don't remember the name) and a crêpe Belle Hélène, and they were delicious! On my first visit, I had salmon tagliatelle, which was also very good. I highly recommend it!

06/06/2026: A wonderful discovery in Laon! We tried La Rose des Sables and frankly, everything was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The couscous is a real treat, with incredibly fine grains and a wonderfully fragrant broth. Special mention goes to the oriental pastries for dessert, which are pure bliss to finish the meal with a delicious green tea. In addition to the delicious food, the ambiance, decor, and background music transport you directly to the heart of the Maghreb, to Algeria. It was truly excellent, a must-visit that I highly recommend.

04/06/2026: We have been a regular customer on several occasions and have never been disappointed by either the service or the food. However, during a recent lunch, we asked to take away the few remaining sushi pieces (only 6), simply to avoid waste. To our great surprise, we were charged an extra €11.50, even though we had already paid for 5 set menus. As regular customers, always respectful of the restaurant and its practices, we were extremely disappointed by this decision, which we consider unprofessional. Especially since it wasn't an abuse of power, but a deliberate attempt to avoid throwing away food. This experience has unfortunately tarnished the excellent impression we had previously had of the establishment.

30/04/2026: Good, slightly dated hotel in the old center of Laon. The reception was particularly friendly, and the owners provided exceptionally nice assistance during the stay. I was allowed to store my bicycle in the hotel garage. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants, and the sights. Breakfast is extensive, with delicious jam.

28/04/2026: Excellent welcome at this old-fashioned but clean hotel, very well located in the venerable episcopal city. Everything is a bit crooked, but who cares... the welcome is friendly and the parking spaces are less than fifty meters away.

28/04/2026: Very disappointed. Arrived at 1 pm, left at 3 pm, over two hours to be served for a galette, a beef tartare, and a gourmet coffee. Bravo! Furthermore, the tartare should be minced meat, not chunks of coarsely chopped beef. Bravo again! Personally, I won't be back and I won't be recommending this place. Avoid it!
