Le Riad sur Aix-En-Provence

We ordered harira soup, chicken tagine, chicken and couscous, and a stew that was more of a vegetable dish. The price was 112 euros, which is a bit expensive compared to nearby restaurants (an Indian restaurant and a Syrian restaurant called Ali Baba). The harira soup was excellent. The rest of the food was good, not bad. The service was a bit slow. The price is excessive, in my opinion.

We had a wonderful time at the Riad. Everything was perfect. The tagines and couscous were delicious. A big thank you to Mohssin for his attentive service. I highly recommend this restaurant! 😋

I'd been craving a good couscous for a long time, and I came to this restaurant in good company. The place is very pleasant and cozy, with a lovely oriental ambiance. The lamb couscous was excellent: perfectly cooked meat, flavorful vegetables, a delicious sauce, and unlimited semolina. A generous portion, piping hot, and very good value for money at €26. Several days later, I still think about it fondly. The table service was efficient and pleasant, especially the mint tea, which was very good and served with a smile. The only negative point: the welcome upon arrival, which was rather cold and unfriendly. It's a shame, because it contrasts sharply with the quality of the food. The reception was cold and without a smile. The person at the counter... There are already several reviews along these lines. Perhaps it would be better to smile and be more welcoming to the customer. This is important for a restaurant, and it's not the first time it's been pointed out… Despite this, I had a wonderful time and will definitely return for the quality of the food, hoping for a warmer welcome next time. A place where the food is excellent, although the service could be more welcoming.

The tagine was delicious, but we were a little disappointed with the desserts. The gazelle horns were good, but nothing special; I was expecting something better. The setting, however, was very pleasant.
