Le Roc au Chien sur Bagnoles-De-L'Orne

Hello, We stayed two nights in Bagnoles de l'Orne at the Hotel Le Roc au Chien. Ideally located near the thermal baths and the town center, we received a very warm welcome! The hotel was comfortable, with breakfasts featuring local products and private parking. We will definitely return and highly recommend this establishment! José & Julia

Very good, very pleasant lunch was excellent, as was the restaurant. I highly recommend it.

The room was very minimalist, with nowhere to put a suitcase upon arrival except on the bed. There were no dedicated electrical outlets by the bedside tables, no way to mount the shower head on the wall, and no place to hang towels near the shower. As for the amenities, the Wi-Fi didn't work in the room, and the TV received no signal except for France 2. Breakfast was quite decent; however, there was no sweetener for diabetics, and the hot drinks machine offered no quality beverages: the cappuccino was almost exclusively chocolate-flavored, and the coffee was completely tasteless and very low-quality.

I came alone. The hotel is well located near the center, yet quiet. I had a private spa session; the tropical decor was lovely. The food was very good.

We weren't treated like customers, but like guests. The owners were incredibly attentive, the food was excellent, truly authentic cuisine made with top-quality ingredients. The room was spacious, and the bedding very comfortable. The hotel was quiet. We were very pleasantly surprised by our booking. If you're ever in the area, stay at this hotel; you won't be disappointed.

The room and bathroom were outdated and freezing cold upon arrival. The outdoor pool was difficult to access. Breakfast was very good. The location was very convenient. [edit] I have updated the date of visit.

We found the bedding a bit hard and there was a lack of heating in the corridors, but the staff were very pleasant and the price was very reasonable.

It's a shame about the rooms; work was needed as the wallpaper had been re-taped and was a bit dated. The receptionist was very pleasant, and the breakfast was great.
