This place is an absolute gem. The service is fantastic and the food incredible and great views to top it off. if you want a real taste of France this is the best place for miles around! Superb and very accommodating even with a toddler and a dog.

This little gem is my favorite in the crown of jewels here in idyllic Montmorillon. Frank and Natalie have poured their souls into the utmost dining experience. From the calming aesthetics of the atmosphere and delightful food offerings, to the amazing animated river entertainment, this eatery is a must visit on any agenda!

I had a wonderful evening at Le Roman Des Saveurs in Montmorillon. I chose the chef's menu for €39, and everything was absolutely incredible from start to finish: refined, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes. A true delight! The service was also top-notch, warm and professional, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A truly wonderful restaurant that I wholeheartedly recommend, both for the quality of the food and the ambiance. We will gladly return!

Tested on May 24th with a prior reservation. Even the initial phone reception was quite friendly. Three set menus at €21, €27, and €37 (give or take a euro... check their website), it's so hard to choose, they all look so tempting. When we ordered, the owner mentioned the chef's daily special, which could be added to the menus. And wow! The starter... scallops, lobster, an unknown sauce with dill, certainly, but it was absolutely divine! :) Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals (I won't even mention the size of my Dame Blanche dessert...). For this excellent meal, thank you to the chef who came to chat with us at the end of service, thank you to the owner who took such good care of us and lit a candle on my son's birthday cheese, and to the smiling young man who took care of the bill. I almost forgot the lovely, smiling young woman who served us so pleasantly. Thank you to her. As you can tell, I recommend this restaurant; don't hesitate to go, I'll definitely be back. Ah... it was good...

We had a very good meal. The chef is attentive to allergens and made the effort to adapt the dessert accordingly (egg allergy), which is very rare in a restaurant. I greatly appreciated the gesture, thank you!

Quality, cuisine, service, friendliness—everything is there, and the meals are perfect; you'll want to come back for more. Go without hesitation; I recommend it 100%.

We used to come to this establishment. We chose the outdoor restaurant, LE GRILL. But what a disappointment! The service was slow and unprofessional. One of the waiters wasn't French and didn't understand. The waiters seemed lost. The aperitifs arrived after the starter. The bread...after the main course. The vinaigrette was industrial, and there was only a small dollop per person! And finally, our main course: an 80g steak!!!! And fries. 50 euros! All of that!

Excellent restaurant! The tasting menu lives up to its name: delicious dishes cooked to perfection. The chef came to see us, and the service was impeccable. We will gladly return.
