Le Royal Brasserie sur Caen

A lovely experience at this downtown brasserie. The welcome was very pleasant. The service was top-notch; the three waitresses who looked after us were all very professional, friendly, and always smiling. A superb attitude from these waitresses, the kind you see less and less these days—well done! Okay, I'm old-fashioned, but here I found exactly what I expect from service: efficient and pleasant at the same time. You don't feel like you're bothering them, as is often the case elsewhere. As for the food, the chicken supreme was very good with an excellent morel sauce. The Caesar and salmon salads were also good. We also really enjoyed the mille-feuille and the decadent profiteroles. The cider was truly excellent and not strong for a brut; we liked it. The brasserie aspect initially put me off, but in the end, it's a great place that I recommend. Parking isn't easy, unless you use the underground car park directly opposite, under Place de la République.

The restaurant was located next to our hotel, so it was ideal. We received a very warm welcome and the meal was excellent!

The menu on Google maps is misleading. It would be good if the business took care of the correct display. In the summer with 30 degrees, they bring you hot water without an ice cube. Otherwise, it is in a nice place, in the city center and has very good food.

We had a wonderful time! The burger, the croque monsieur, the fries, the floating island dessert, and the chocolate mousse were all simply delicious! The portions were just perfect! The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful. It's very well located in the heart of Caen, opposite Place de la République! I highly recommend it!

Le Royal (Place de la République, Caen) charms with its chic and welcoming Parisian brasserie atmosphere, blending floral velvet and elegant gilding. Contrary to expectations for such a central location, the service is quite decent and the prices are rather reasonable.
