Le Royal Orchid sur Montpellier

I've lived in Montpellier for 10 years now, and although I often walked past it, I'd never actually gone in until today... To be fair, the area around the train station and the exterior don't exactly suggest a neighborhood Asian restaurant... So imagine my surprise when I discovered a lovely, comfortable, and nicely decorated space! No fancy cuisine, but good, everyday dishes, well-prepared with quality ingredients! Plus, it's less expensive than other places, and there's a good selection! The set menus are also appealing! I highly recommend it! The only drawback I noticed was the lamp above our table... It was too low and bright; I must admit, it hurt my eyes quite a bit...

The food is good and the setting is beautiful. Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. From the moment we ordered, the waitress snatched the menus away abruptly, without a thank you or any polite greeting. When the food arrived, she placed the dishes down very carelessly, giving the impression that she just wanted to get rid of them as quickly as possible. It's a shame, because the food itself is excellent, but the experience is ruined by such unprofessional service.

As soon as you step inside, you're immediately greeted by the aroma of comforting food that makes you want to linger. It's simple cuisine, but exceptionally well-prepared, using high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. Each dish is delicious, generous, and above all, incredibly comforting—food that warms you, almost like a hug. It's a place I'll definitely return to, and certainly several times if I come back to Montpellier.

The best Thai restaurant in Montpellier, without a doubt. Everything is very welcoming. Delicious, high-quality food. Food 10. Service 10. Hospitality 10. Decor 10.

I went with some friends and the meal was very good. The portions were very generous, and they asked us if we wanted chili peppers for seasoning. The only downside I found was that I felt rushed to finish my plate (which was difficult given the large amount of food). I tried to explain that I wouldn't be able to finish everything, even though it was very good, and she didn't seem very happy. I thought she was rushing us because there were other people waiting for our table, but that wasn't the case. Apart from that, the meal was very good, and I think I'll go back.

Good food, generous portions. Service was a little slow, but tonight there was only one waitress for the entire establishment (respect!), and she offered helpful advice on the menu. Impeccable traditional ambiance. I recommend it.
