While visiting Auxerre, we went to eat at this small restaurant, a bit hidden away on a side street, but definitely worth the detour. Not far from the historic center, it offers a pleasant break. We received a very warm welcome from the owner and the food was excellent!

A quiet restaurant, a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the center. Excellent food. I highly recommend it.
The menu is quite varied, and we could have eaten there a second time, but unfortunately, it was full.

A small, hidden restaurant just steps from the Paul Bert bridge that's well worth the detour. We had a lovely dinner; the welcome was attentive, the food delicious and perfectly cooked (the ducks were cooked in front of the large fireplace, like everything else in the kitchen). The wine recommendation was excellent. In short, it's wonderful to be able to eat so well and chat quietly in such a pleasant, unpretentious, and very enjoyable place. We'll be back next time we visit family. See you soon!

It's not on a busy street, but the 30-meter detour through the historic center is well worth it! A warm welcome from the charming chef awaits you in his rustic restaurant, where the wood-fired kitchen promises authenticity, flavors, and local cuisine. The food is regional, made with the finest ingredients (bavette steak lovers, go for it!), the portions are generous, and we discovered a wine gem there: Mercurey, a divine wine less expensive than Pommard, thanks to the chef's impeccable advice. Definitely an address to remember every time I'm in Auxerre; food of this quality at this price... I'll be following the Gault & Millau recommendations more often!
