Le Second Empire sur Paris

We came in unexpectedly for a small family meal. The carbonara pizza and salad were very good, and the service was excellent. Thank you, we'll be back!

A typical Parisian restaurant. Quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious, well-presented dishes. Even the pizza, which isn't a typical French dish, is good and tasty. The beef tartare is truly exquisite. A great place for kids, too. Good value.

The food was generally good. They had extended meal times; we ate at 3 pm when other places had already stopped serving food. For Paris, the price was reasonable.

I popped in here for a bite to eat, drawn by the reviews on the map. I ordered a standard carbonara, a mojito, and some crepes. The carbonara was oversalted and tasteless (seriously, you can get better anywhere, especially for 18 euros). I waited half an hour for the crepes, and they never arrived. And this was despite the fact that the crowd was fairly low. Overall, the experience was so-so; I wouldn't recommend it.

You'll probably think I was paid to write this glowing review, but that's not the case. When you find service like this, you have to spread the word. We went here for lunch by chance; the menu and prices caught our eye, and then the warm welcome from the staff convinced us. We sat down, and our order was taken quickly. I appreciated the professionalism of the waiter who anticipated our needs. I was about to ask for ice for our water glasses in this heatwave. He didn't have time, but he brought us ice along with the carafe. As for the food, everything was ready quite quickly, and it was DELICIOUS!! The salads, the new potatoes with the burger, the homemade iced tea with a real tea flavor and not too sweet! Everything was PERFECT!
