Le Sloï sur Saint-Jean-De-Monts

We received a spa pass and brunch as a gift. I was pleasantly surprised by the brunch; I was expecting a cold, English-style buffet, which isn't really my thing. I found the food very good, with a varied selection and everything served hot. The staff was excellent.

A three-course lunch (starter and main) took 1 hour and 30 minutes, even though it wasn't particularly busy. Too long, especially since we were by the sea. We ordered fish, but only discovered via a sign that it came from Greece and Turkey – too late! We were expecting to enjoy some good seafood, being in the Vendée region, and were very disappointed by a restaurant in a 4-star hotel. 😔

A truly wonderful discovery. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We had the Vendée bistro menu and it was a delight. Special mention for the pulled beef burger; the meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the Comté cheese was incredible. I will definitely be back.

We were a couple (staying for one night) and had booked a massage at the spa next door. We had lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning. We were very satisfied with the staff and the restaurant's atmosphere, but we had mixed feelings about the food: for lunch, we had a burger and a duck shepherd's pie, followed by Vendée brioche French toast and a pear poached in wine. The burger with homemade fries was nothing special; my partner prefers Burger King burgers (because they're more substantial). The meat was shredded beef, so no ground beef, and the fries didn't look like they were cut on-site. The duck shepherd's pie was fine for me in terms of taste and portion size (I'm over 50 😁), but €19.50 each is expensive; it wasn't flavorful enough. We would have liked more taste. The desserts were nothing special. My pear was tiny; it was the chocolate sauce and almonds that made it worthwhile. As for the brioche, it was just half a slice, admittedly quite thick, but the flavor wasn't anything special. The same goes for the drinks. My partner ordered a spritz and had to ask the waiter to add more Aperol because it was very diluted. In short, we paid around 60 euros for two people, and it wasn't worth it. What a shame. The same was true for breakfast: 22 euros, and it was basic, even though there were sweet and savory options. Really disappointing considering the price and what you can find in other hotels, especially. So, in total, we spent over 100 euros on food for two people. I don't think we'll be back. 😭

Excellent restaurant. We really appreciated the kindness and efficiency of the waitresses Julie, Juliette, and Tiphanie.

Pleasant and friendly staff, very good food. Nothing to complain about, it was perfect.

Excellent!! Very plentiful and generous and it's appreciable and very good!! Very good restaurant and very good service!! Come on, the only downside is that it's a bit expensive for the quality I think.

Quality catering and above all a real relationship with the service staff.

We ate well, it was delicious and tasty.
