28/11/2024: We had a great evening last night with my partner and my parents. To begin with, obviously on a culinary level we had an extraordinary gastronomic experience. Matthias Marc confirms his status with inventive, frank cuisine, full of surprises which often even surpasses some of the most established great chefs with whom we have been able to eat. In terms of service, there remains a little work to make the welcome warmer and ensure that each customer feels welcome. We felt a certain pressure to choose appetizer and menu as soon as they arrived. We had the feeling that we almost had to show our credentials to have attentive service. Something that happened when our servers perhaps noticed that we were not there by chance. From there, we fully enjoyed our experience and the quality of service followed the quality of the dishes, once again, impeccable. In terms of atmosphere, it's lively. I personally appreciated it. This may not appeal to everyone, but it's really a matter of taste. Generally speaking, we're not going to lie, Substance offers a unique experience full of personality. Little wink, what a shame to see the chef come to greet and serve almost all the tables around us except ours ;)
